Description
ESS Clinical is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and highly qualified Physical Therapist (PT) to support students within Washington Elementary School District in AZ for the 2026–2027 school year.
W2 and 1099 Contracts Available!
W2 starting at $76/hr and 1099 starting at $85/hr
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on educational needs
- Provide direct and indirect physical therapy services as outlined in student IEPs
- Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations and IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families
- Assess and recommend adaptive equipment, positioning devices, and mobility supports
- Support students with:
- Gross motor development
- Functional mobility
- Gait and balance training
- Positioning and transfers
- Wheelchair and adaptive equipment needs
- Physical access to educational environments
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Provide training and consultation to school staff and families
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, district, and ESS Clinical requirements
- Travel between school sites as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Arizona Physical Therapist License in good standing or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and disabilities
- Ability to meet all district and ESS Clinical onboarding requirements
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Active Arizona Physical Therapist License issued by the Arizona Board of Physical Therapy
- Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Ability to satisfy all Washington Elementary School District and ESS Clinical background screening requirements
- Compliance with all state and district employment requirements
