Description
ESS Clinical is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team supporting Carlsbad Municipal Schools in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
PAY $64/hr W2 Contract and $71/hr $1099
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations regarding accommodations and assistive technology.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing (if applicable).
- Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to maximize student success.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, district, and ESS Clinical requirements.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload while maintaining accurate documentation.
Required Licensure & Certifications
Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain:
- Active New Mexico Occupational Therapist License issued by the New Mexico Occupational Therapy Licensing Board (or equivalent qualifying licensure recognized by the state).
- New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) PreK–12 Occupational Therapist License (Instructional Support Provider License) or eligibility to obtain prior to employment.
- Successful completion of all required state and district background checks and fingerprinting prior to employment.
