Description
ESS Clinical is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PART TIME Audiologist to join our team serving Carlsbad Municipal Schools in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
PAY $64/hr W2 or $71/hr 1099
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations and hearing screenings for students.
- Assess hearing function and interpret audiological test results.
- Recommend hearing assistive technology, hearing aids, FM/DM systems, and classroom accommodations.
- Collaborate with IEP teams to determine appropriate educational supports and services.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and assist with hearing assistive devices and related equipment.
- Provide consultation and training to school staff and families regarding hearing loss and hearing technology.
- Maintain accurate documentation, evaluation reports, and service records.
- Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations and IEP meetings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, district, and ESS Clinical policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Master's degree in Audiology (if grandfathered under applicable licensing requirements).
- Previous pediatric or school-based audiology experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and special education eligibility related to hearing impairments is preferred.
Required Licensure & Certifications
Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain:
- Active New Mexico Audiologist License issued by the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department.
- New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) School Audiologist License or eligibility to obtain prior to employment.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred but not required if all state licensure requirements are met.
- Successful completion of all required state and district background checks and fingerprinting prior to employment.
