Description
ESS Clinical is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in partnership with Lake County Schools for the 2026–2027 school year!
Pay up to $45/hour (W2 only)
No non-competes in our contracts
Position Responsibilities
- Assists in assessing student’s level of functioning and need for therapy.
- Assists in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each eligible student, and participates in the IEP meetings, at the direction of the registered therapist.
- Implements therapy programs developed by the registered therapist to meet IEP goals and objectives.
- Provides treatment techniques which include, but are not limited to, activities of daily living, motor activities, and use of adaptive equipment, exercises to enhance functional performance, and use of assistive technology.
- Demonstrates techniques and specific programs to parents, teacher, teacher assistants, or other appropriate personnel, as prescribed by the registered therapist.
- Collects and accurately records data on therapy programs.
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Graduation from an occupation therapy assistant school approved by AMA and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Hold or be eligible for Florida State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License.
