Description

ESS Clinical is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and student-focused Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide school-based occupational therapy services to students in Greenwood School District 50 for the 2026–2027 school year.

The Occupational Therapist will provide evaluation, treatment, consultation, and support services designed to help students participate successfully in the educational environment. The OT will collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, families, physicians, and other professionals to address students' developmental, sensory, motor, functional, and educational needs.

This position is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping students develop the skills necessary to participate more independently and successfully in school and daily activities.

Pay starting at $58/hr up to $65/hr
W-2 and 1099 opportunities 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with student IEP goals.
  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and reassessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and goals.
  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services.
  • Address students' functional, developmental, sensory, motor, and self-help needs.
  • Support fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor skills, mobility, positioning, and activities of daily living.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, school staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and student support meetings.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate therapy documentation.
  • Provide consultation and training to teachers and school staff.
  • Maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas.
  • Follow all applicable federal, state, district, and ESS Clinical policies and procedures.
  • Maintain student confidentiality.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Professional Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited occupational therapy program.
  • Successful completion of applicable supervised clinical/fieldwork requirements.
  • Current professional standing as an Occupational Therapist – Registered, Licensed, or OTR/L.
  • Ability to provide occupational therapy services in a school-based environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate clinical and educational documentation.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy practices.
  • Ability to work effectively with students with a variety of developmental, physical, sensory, behavioral, and educational needs.

South Carolina Occupational Therapist License

current South Carolina Occupational Therapist license is required to practice occupational therapy in South Carolina.
