Description
Work Environment
- Work is performed in a department which consists of several clinical rooms and offices, and sometimes requires working in close quarters with other employees. These rooms are all air conditioned as well as heated. Work may also be performed in patient rooms throughout the hospitals or at an offsite location, as determined by contracted services.
- PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: As needed, gloves, mask, gown, and other personal protective equipment, as per blood and body fluid and isolation precautions.

- All – Access to patient information, including restricted information – Level 4
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or Clinical Fellowship year candidate.
Preferred:
- Previous clinical experience
- Experience with dysphagia and neurogenic communication disorders
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
- NYS license or eligibility to be licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist
- CPR certification within first 3 months of employment.
Preferred:
- Certification Teacher of Speech and Language Disabilities.
