Description

13 week contract for local candidate within 25 miles. Accept and dispense prescription medications. Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns. Ensuring that the supply of medicines is within the law. Ensuring that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable. Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients ensure proper management of patient records and pharmacy files. Advising patients about medicines, including how to take them, what reactions may occur and answering patients' questions. Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications for storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions. Compound medications for external or internal use. Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures. Supervise pharmacy staff members, including pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks, etc. Maintain an appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies. Identify patient's drug-related problems and effectively communicate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners.
Responsible for monitoring and/or cleaning the sterile compounding area.
Responsible for ensuring competency of all aspects of staff (both technicians and pharmacists) performing sterile compounding including, but not limited to cleaning, garbing, testing, training and proper compounding procedure.
Works collaboratively with pharmacists to ensure compliance of USP 797 and USP 800 standards
