Description
Contract Hours:
72 hours biweekly are guaranteed for all assignments. These hours do not include any on-call time worked.
Requirements: - Must be proficient with cardiac MRI. - Experience with GE and Siemens 1.5T and 3T scanners required. - Must hold BLS-AHA certification. - Must be ARRT certified. - At least 2 years of related work experience is required. - Epic experience preferred.
Responsibilities: - Prepare and position patients for MRI of various body parts, ensuring optimal demonstration for study. - Set up equipment appropriately and screen for ferrous metal implants. - Select and document appropriate pulse sequences during scanning procedures. - Evaluate the quality and completeness of scan results, and recommend any protocol changes if necessary. - Manipulate images for physician review and send images to the PACS system promptly. - Assist patients by addressing their physical and psychological needs, explaining procedures clearly, and responding to their questions with patience and courtesy. - Start IV lines for contrast when necessary, monitor patients for reactions, and report issues promptly. - Maintain accurate records and statistics related to MRI procedures in compliance with regulations. - Participate in the teaching and clinical evaluation of students and other technologists. - Engage in continuous educational activities during and outside of working hours.
Other Information: - No local travelers will be accepted (candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility). - Candidates who have previously worked at any related facility within the last six months will not be considered. - Perm opportunities only. - Float not required. - Provide availability for interviews at the time of submission. All requested time off must be presented at submission.
