Unit Description

24-bed telemetry unit with the capability of taking 8 step-down patients
Large rooms with private bathrooms and showers
Team nursing approach

Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments and develop care plans
Engage in effective communication and teamwork
Manage medication administration
Maintain a 3:1 patient ratio in step-down care

Skills and Qualifications

Proficient in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Capable of patient lifting, pushing, and pulling
Strong teamwork and communication skills

Patient Ratios

3:1 ratio in step-down care
5:1 ratio during the day
7:1 ratio at night
