This position involves providing expert assessment, treatment, consultation, planning, and leadership oversight for optimal lactation management in both inpatient and outpatient settings. For patients needing advanced lactation support, the role includes formulating an interdisciplinary plan of care and communicating related goals and plans with the care team.

Submission Requirements:

• Candidates may be an RN, OT, PT, SLP, or Pharmacist, provided they meet job requirements and are licensed in Massachusetts.
• A minimum of 1+ years of experience as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is required. Equivalent certifications are not accepted.
• A minimum of 2500 hours of experience as a breastfeeding consultant is required.
• Experience with inpatient lactation programs is mandatory.
• Experience in outpatient prenatal and postpartum lactation education, consultations, and/or teaching is required.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred.

Profile Requirements:

• Work history should be up-to-date.
• A skills checklist pertinent to the position, current to one year, is required.
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment is required.
• Board certification must be documented.
• An active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Additional Information:

• Candidates must have a vehicle for this assignment.
