Description

Unit Description:

Join a dynamic 25-bed Labor & Delivery unit, which also includes Postpartum, Newborn Care, two Operating Rooms, two Recovery Rooms, and two Antepartum Units.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Care
Familiarity with circulating during procedures
Current Massachusetts RN License
Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and EFM (for Labor & Delivery, every 2 years)
AHA ACLS preferred

Clinician to Patient Ratios:

Labor & Delivery: 1:2-3 for evaluations, 1:1 during active labor, and for patients with Magnesium infusions or epidurals
Postpartum: 1:3-4

5 Labor & Delivery rooms
12 Postpartum rooms
2 Operating Rooms
2 Recovery Rooms
2 Antepartum Unit rooms with a total of 4 beds

Average Daily Census:

15-25 mothers, babies, and labors

Additional Details:

EMR System: EPIC
Floating: Not required
This position involves rotating shifts, with a primary focus on daytime hours and occasional evening and night shifts due to union agreements.
