Role Description

Join a dynamic Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Unit with a 25-bed capacity, featuring L&D, Postpartum, Newborn Care, 2 Operating Rooms, 2 Recovery Rooms, and 2 Antepartum/Newborn Unit rooms.

• Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years in a relevant field.
• Skill Sets Required: Proficiency in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Circulate, and Newborn Care.

• Clinician to Patient Ratio:
• L&D: 1:2-3 evaluations, 1:1 during active labor, for Magnesium drip or Epidural.
• Postpartum: 1:3-4 patient ratio.
• Bed Count:
• 5 Labor & Delivery rooms
• 12 Postpartum rooms
• 2 Operating Rooms
• 2 Recovery Rooms
• 2 Antepartum/Newborn Unit rooms with a 4-bed capacity.
• Census: Average daily census of 15-25 mothers, babies, and labors.

• EMR (Charting System): EPIC.
• Floating Required: No.
• Rotational Shifts Required: Day rotation position with occasional evenings and nights per union agreement.

• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• BLS, NRP, and EFM (every two years for L&D).
• AHA ACLS is preferred.

This role primarily operates during the day with flexibility to rotate as needed to fulfill service requirements.
