Position Overview

Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR) focuses on treating diseases non-operatively using small catheters guided by fluoroscopic and other imaging modalities. Procedures include:

• Angiograms and peripheral revascularization
• Placement and maintenance of hemodialysis catheters
• Nephrostomy drainage tubes
• Gastrostomy and jejunostomy tubes
• Central line placement
• Vascular access, including port placement
• Pain management interventions
• Paracentesis/Thoracentesis
• Pre and post-care for renal, liver, and lung biopsies
• Carotid stenting

Local travelers (within 50 miles) are not eligible.

Dress Code

Personal scrubs of any color.

Orientation

8 hours of non-billable orientation is required.

Submission Requirements

• Experience: 2 years of current Interventional Radiology/IR experience
• Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology experience
• Defibrillation Certification
• IV skills and CCU experience
• Meditech Expanse experience (highly preferred)
• Ability to function independently in a high-stress, work-intensive environment
• Attendance at all mandatory education is required

• Massachusetts RN license
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
