Description
Schedule is 4x10s. Call is required for two days a week from the end of the shift to 7p, and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every three weekends. Weekend call is for 24 hours/day.
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures, responsible for assisting the surgeon in a lead role until the conclusion of the operative procedure. Circulating duties may be required at times.
Graduate of an approved School of Nursing required. Current licensure as an RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required. ACLS certification required. Completion of an RN First Assisting course that conforms to the Core Curriculum set forth by AORN required.
Five years of diversified peri-operative nursing experience with both scrubbing and circulating proficiency required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross required.
