Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgical procedures within the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Prepare surgical instruments and ensure all necessary equipment is available.
• Support the surgical team by anticipating their needs during the procedure.
• Handle specimens appropriately and ensure they are sent for testing if required.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of surgical supplies and report any shortages.

Qualifications:

• Certified Scrub Technician (CST) or equivalent certification.
• Prior experience in a CVOR environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and move heavy equipment if necessary.
