Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field before and during surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies.
• Ensure all surgical equipment is sterilized and accounted for before and after procedures.
• Monitor and maintain the sterile environment, following strict asepsis guidelines.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, providing the necessary tools and materials promptly.
• Handle specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.
• Restock the operating room with supplies and equipment as required.
• Assist with patient transport and positioning on the operating table.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of surgical instruments and operating room equipment.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and terminology.
• Excellent manual dexterity and coordination.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining sterile conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
