Short Description:

• RN Nights
• EOW/Holiday rotations & 2 On-Call shifts per 4-weeks

Requirements:

• Must be cross-trained for multiple units (Med/Surg, ICU, ER)
• Must have BSN and critical care experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (AHA or RQI specifically)

Complete Description:

• Comfortable floating to ICU/ER/MS/MST
• Must have a current NYS license as a registered professional nurse
• Minimum certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS through AHA or RQI during clinical orientation, and NIHSS; Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire; CPI certification within 90 days of hire
• Preferred certifications: Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association recommended within 2 years; TNCC recommended within 2 years
• Must demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information discreetly and deal with people professionally and courteously
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and enhance teamwork through effective role modeling
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
• Computer literacy required, with experience in Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records preferred
• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Healing Environment principles, ensuring safety, promoting dignity, respect, well-being, and exemplifying healthy relationships
• Staff member must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the patients on the assigned unit, and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret needed information for each patient’s age-specific needs
