Description

• Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8-hour days, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, every other weekend required. No on-call duties.

• Experience Required: A minimum of 1 year of experience in physical therapy within an acute care setting is required. Over 2 years of overall experience is preferred. The role involves working in an outpatient setting 1 to 2 days a week at an outpatient surgery center, as well as supporting inpatient needs.

• Skills and Knowledge:

• Familiarity with the acute care hospital environment.
• Excellent patient handling skills and proficient transfer techniques.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with healthcare team members such as nursing, doctors, and case management.
• Must be a team player with strong time management skills.

• Ability to be self-directed, flexible, and capable of multitasking.

• Certifications Required:

• Massachusetts PT licensure.

• CPR certification (AHA BLS healthcare provider).

• Department Details: The Inpatient Rehab department consists of Physical Therapists (PT) and Occupational Therapists (OT), providing coverage across the hospital's inpatient floors. Patient care involves individuals from birth to elderly age, dealing with a variety of impairments related to musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-surgical conditions. Coverage is also provided 1 to 2 days a week at an outpatient surgery center.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
