Nuclear Medical Tech - Nuclear Medicine
Contract Details - Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly on all assignments - On-call time not included in guaranteed hours
Requisition Comments and Notes - Position in PET/CT, with first two weeks training Monday-Thursday, 0900-1930 - Requires 1-2 years of experience at an academic medical center, preferably with PET/CT experience - Credentials Required: ARRT (N) or CNMT; MA RT license required if not already possessed; BLS-AHA required
Responsibilities Include - Venipuncture and glucometer operation - Operation of Siemens Biograph CT 64 and Medrad Intego automated injector - Handling unit doses of FDG, Posluma, Amyvid, Dotatate, Cerianna - DICOM push of images to MIM and McKesson PACS - Scanning of documents and patient screening prior to exam - Proper cleaning of incubation rooms and camera post-patient use - Stocking supplies in incubation room and hotlab - Computer entry of charges for exams and verification of images on PACS system - Adherence to general radiation safety principles (ALARA) and USP guidelines
Additional Information - No local travelers accepted (must reside beyond 50 miles from facility) - Orientation starts weekly (every Monday barring holidays) - Travelers must be separated from the facility for at least six months if previously employed as permanent or per diem staff - Parking costs may apply; please inquire for details
