Emergency Department Role Overview

Submission Requirements:
Residency requirement: Must live at least 75 miles from the facility for travel status.
An up-to-date resume with over 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric exposure.
Documented travel experience in the Emergency Department is necessary.
Skills checklist matching specialty needs.
Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
TNCC certification is mandatory.
Active New York License with NURSYS report for license verification.
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is required.

Unit Specifics:
Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
Patient Demographics: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatric
Number of Beds in the Unit: 64 beds including 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, 6 psych
Required Drips & Medications:
Pressors: Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine
Vasodilators: Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG
Anti-arrhythmic: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido
Sedation: Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl
TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
