Requirements

• Education: Nursing degree required; diploma, ASN, or BSN preferred.
• Experience: Over 5 years of staff nurse experience, including charge nurse responsibilities in an acute care facility. Leadership experience is required. Must demonstrate the clinical knowledge and skills necessary to oversee the provision of care to patients ranging from infancy to geriatrics.
• Certification/Licensure: MA RN license, BLS, and ACLS required.

Position Summary

Responsible for coordination and supervision of care on multiple nursing units and departments. Collaborates with clinical managers and others to ensure high-quality, timely service for all patients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a role model, providing clinical direction to staff.
• Ensure high-quality, cost-efficient care by making appropriate staffing decisions.
• Manage human resources within the Nursing Division and the Hospital for high-quality care and a harmonious work environment.
• Act as the on-site hospital representative accountable for operational and administrative activities during evening, night, and weekend shifts.
• Plan and direct Nursing Division activities to comply with established policies and achieve divisional goals.
• Establish and maintain interdisciplinary communication and cooperation.
• Promote a positive image of the Nursing Division through effective interaction with patients, visitors, physicians, the community, and the public.
