Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist with travel experience for this assignment. Candidates must have expertise in neonatal care, particularly in a Level 3 NICU, and be proficient with neonatal oscillating ventilators. Experience with high-frequency jet vents and Draeger vents is also required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care in a Level 3 NICU, utilizing advanced neonatal ventilators such as oscillating and high-frequency jet vents.
- Float between required campuses as needed and work every other weekend and holidays.
- Assist in orientating students and new hires if necessary.
- Be prepared to support all units, including NICU and Pediatric units, as staffing needs arise.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required, with experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Proficiency with Draeger ventilators.
- BLS and CRT or RRT plus state license required.
- Must be prepared to document using the EPIC charting system.
Facility Information:
You will be working within a short-term acute care hospital with a total of 426 staffed beds and designated as a Level II Trauma Center. As part of the Yale New Haven Health System, the facility offers free parking.
