Description

Maintain a professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with service excellence standards and core values.

Assess the needs of patients based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.

Delegate, supervise, and evaluate the activities of other team members while executing immediate directives in urgent or emergent situations.

Provide appropriate nursing interventions, consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice, incorporating prescribed medical plans of care.

Complete verification of the Safe Surgery checklist using service excellence standards.

Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format.

Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff; assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned.

Prep the operating room for patient/procedure.

Contribute to the daily efficient performance of the department.

Position and prepare the patient on the operating table.

Serve as the communication liaison to family and members of the operating team.

Demonstrate continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.

Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.

Willingly participate in assigned call as scheduled.

Possess computer skills, with knowledge of computer programs utilized to deliver patient care.

Assist in the control and maintenance of supplies and equipment.

Perform all circulating duties with efficiency and speed.

Unit Description: CVOR, which averages 6 cases per day. This position is ideal for someone confident in performing open heart surgery and vascular cases.
