Ultrasound Technician - Cardiac Sonography
Role Overview:
Under the supervision and direction of a physician, the Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing, documenting, and communicating the results of diagnostic 2D and M-Mode echocardiographic procedures, as well as stress echocardiograms. Responsibilities also include the setup, disconnection, and downloading of holter monitors.
Certification Requirements:
- Current BLS certification
- Certification from ARDMS or CCI is required
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Unit Description:
This position is part of a busy outpatient cardiology practice serving the Ithaca and surrounding communities. The role may require traveling to off-site hospitals to perform testing on both inpatients and outpatients.
