Description
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations using various types of equipment.
- Ensure patient safety during procedures by following established protocols.
- Maintain imaging equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure necessary supplies are ready.
- Assist radiologists in conducting advanced imaging procedures.
- Explain procedures to patients and answer any questions.
- Adhere to safety standards and guidelines to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary radiation exposure.
Qualifications
- Accredited training in Radiologic Technology.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
- Ability to handle complex imaging equipment and troubleshoot minor technical issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with patients of all ages.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move patients or equipment as needed.
