Description

Responsibilities:

Perform functions related to hemodynamic and imaging, and ambulatory monitoring operation in the Cardiology department under the direction of a Cardiologist.
Conduct procedures independently at a professional level not requiring constant supervision.
Execute duties of the Cardiac Catheterization Technologist, following guidance from the Chief Radiologic Technologist.
Perform and document hemodynamic monitoring accurately.
Maintain professional proficiency through continuing education credits.
Assist with the radiologic operations within the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Ensure optimal diagnostic imaging by performing standard quality control measures.
Conduct simple troubleshooting for equipment and request service when necessary.
Complete billing forms accurately for Cath Lab procedures.
Carry out daily calibration and maintenance of the film processor using sensitometric and densitometric equipment.
Assist in preparing cardiology patients for invasive procedures.
Take evening and weekend calls for emergency procedures in the laboratory.
Uphold confidentiality and security of all hospital-related, medical staff-related, and patient-related data and information.
Adhere to all relevant hospital policies and procedures diligently.
Demonstrate respect and uphold the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and colleagues to foster a professional and courteous environment.
Show commitment to recognizing and respecting cultural diversity among all customers.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, respecting cultural, value, belief, and age differences, utilizing interpreters when necessary.
Perform additional duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting, including skills with impella, telemetry, and IABP.
Ability to independently read telemetry strips and pass a telemetry exam with a score of 85% or better.
Preferred experience in interventional radiology (IR).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is mandatory.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
MA RT(R) License is required.
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification is preferred.
