Job Description

An experienced Travel ICU RN for its Neuro/Trauma Surgical ICU. This Level II Trauma unit has 12 beds and a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, with a focus on neuro and trauma patients.

The RN will care for critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and therapies, including ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains. The position also requires flexibility to float to other critical care and medical units based on facility needs.

Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neuro and trauma patients.
Assess and monitor patients for changes in neurological and clinical status.
Care for patients with ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains.
Administer medications and treatments according to orders and hospital protocols.
Monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, and other critical clinical parameters.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EPIC.
Participate in emergency and critical care interventions.
Maintain patient safety and follow hospital and critical care protocols.
Float to Cardiovascular, Telemetry Care, ICU/CCU, or Med/Surg units as needed.
Requirements
Current active California RN license required.
Minimum 5 years of acute critical care experience required.
Level II Trauma critical care experience required.
EPIC charting experience required.
Previous travel nursing experience required.
Current BLS certification required.
Current ACLS certification required.
Candidate Eligibility
Active California RN license required.
Minimum 5 years of acute critical care experience.
Level II Trauma critical care experience required.
Previous travel nursing experience required.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Must be willing to float to other designated units as needed.
Enloe Medical Center requires agency staff to be W-2 employees of their staffing agency.
