Location: Newport, VT

Pay Details
Pay Rate: $80/hr
Weekly Gross: $2,880/week (All-Inclusive)
Taxable/W2 Rate: $45.38/hr
Weekly Stipend: $1,246/week ($34.61/hr)
Total Compensation: $80/hr (W2 Pay + Stipend)
Overtime Rate: $85/hr after 40 hours

Schedule: Night shift
Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week
Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery to provide skilled nursing care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and the Baby Unit.

This position requires flexibility to float to other units and provide care for overflow from the Progressive Care Unit. The RN will provide comprehensive care to women, newborns, and families while maintaining a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients.
Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
Provide appropriate nursing interventions based on patient and newborn needs.
Monitor patients and newborns and communicate changes in condition appropriately.
Provide patient and family education related to childbirth, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
Support patients and families throughout the childbirth and postpartum process.
Float to other units as needed based on patient care needs.
Provide care for Progressive Care Unit overflow as required.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Follow patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Participate in required department quarterly education sessions.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience — Required
BLS/BCLS certification — Required
PALS certification — Required
NRP certification — Required
AWHONN certification — Required
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Flexibility to float between units and care for overflow patients
