Compensation
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,000/week
Total Pay Rate: $50/hour
W2 Taxable Pay: $18.00/hour
Weekly Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,280/week (for qualified travelers)
Overtime Pay: $50/hour (after 40 hours worked)
Schedule
Shift: Day Shift
Typical Workday: 8.5 hours on-site with a 30-minute unpaid meal break
Scheduled Hours: As determined by facility
Overtime: Requires advance written approval
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide skilled occupational therapy services in Tacoma, Washington. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment and discharge plans, and provide therapy focused on improving independence and daily living skills.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills and be able to adapt to varying patient needs and facility requirements.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients according to physician orders and referrals.
Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans and goals.
Update treatment and discharge plans based on patient progress.
Provide therapy to improve functional independence and daily living skills.
Document all therapy services accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions as appropriate.
Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) according to state practice acts and facility policies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, patients, and families.
Follow facility safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Maintain professional standards of patient care and documentation.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT or OTD)
Active Washington Occupational Therapist license or ability to obtain one
Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Flexibility to adapt to different facilities, schedules, and patient needs
Important Information
Contract position
Drive time between facilities on the same day is paid at $25/hour when properly documented in Net Health.
Recognized holidays include:
New Year's Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
Holiday hours are billed at the standard hourly rate.
Assignment may be ended early with 14 days' written notice, unless otherwise specified.
Overtime must be approved in advance and in writing.
Timecards must be submitted through the client's designated timekeeping system.
