Job Description

Seeking an experienced X-Ray Technician for a 13-week assignment in the Radiology Department at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Massachusetts.

The X-Ray Technician will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures while following established imaging protocols, radiation safety standards, and department procedures. The role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts and varied weekend schedules based on department needs.

Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray and radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain the examination process.
Position patients appropriately to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
Follow radiation protection and safety procedures.
Review images for positioning and technical quality.
Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain equipment and report equipment concerns according to department procedures.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and departmental standards.
Adapt to variable shift assignments and changing department needs.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required.
Massachusetts State License required.
ARRT certification/license required.
BLS certification required.
Travel experience required.
Flexibility to work variable days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and call as needed.

Candidates must meet the 50-mile radius rule applicable to the assignment.
Active Massachusetts State License required.
ARRT credential required.
BLS certification required.
Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required.
