Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: August 3, 2026
Weekly Pay: $2,700 - $2,808
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Varies (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week

MVHS – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Unit Highlights
42-bed ICU
Neuro/Medical ICU: 22 beds
Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU): 6 beds
Surgical/Trauma ICU: 14 beds
Floating required to all units as needed (except Behavioral Health and the Emergency Department unless holding patients)
Common patient populations include:
Stroke
Sepsis
Altered Mental Status (AMS)
Respiratory Failure
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
Post-STEMI
Cardiogenic Shock
Major Trauma
Post-Operative Surgical Patients
Specialty equipment includes:
CRRT (Prismaflex/NxStage)
Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
Ventriculostomy
ICP Monitoring
Arctic Sun (Targeted Temperature Management)
EMR: Epic
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Requirements
Active New York RN License
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU)
4–5 years of ICU experience preferred
Previous travel nursing experience is required
Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex is required
Cardiac/Heart ICU experience is highly preferred
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Experience with Epic EMR required
