Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Location: Washington, DC
Start Date: 07/06/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Rotating
Hours/Week: 36
Estimated Gross Pay Per Week Up To: $2233.04 (includes up to $1513.04 travel stipend)
Position Summary:
ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 36 hours per week contract in Washington, DC. Job Requirements:
Must provide proof of pending status at the time of submission
Must have DC license in hand prior to start date
Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
ACLS certification required
BLS certification required
2 years of experience required
1 previous assignment or 1 month per-diem required
Every other weekend required
Holidays as needed
Float to ICU and IMC required
2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required
Must complete a minimum of 1 travel assignment to be considered
No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
RTO must be included at the time of submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review
Amount of RTO: No more than 7 days per 13-week contract
Candidates must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam achieving at least an 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
Candidates are assigned facility-and unit-specific Sitel modules upon hire, which must be completed within one week of signing their contract
Labs and DS appointment must be completed within 48 hours of signing
Two supervisory references including one from the most recent assignment required
Nurses must have been separated for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler
Candidates may be submitted to only one MedStar location at a time
Manager interviews are not guaranteed
Distance Requirements
Local radius is 60 miles
Candidate's address must match their driver's license when determining local status
Other Required Documentation:
Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
Two current clinical references
Physical exam (completed within the past 12 months)
TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
Must pass background check and drug screening
