40Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse will deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catherization procedures. Nursing care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment. The Registered Nurse will deliver care with a team-orientation, an emphasis on good customer relations; sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision-making abilities that take into consideration evidenced based practice. The nurses primary duty is to manage the care and treatment of patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
Shift: 7a - 3:30p Monday - Friday plus call.
Rotating call every 3 - 4 weeks (3:30p - 6:54a, Tuesday - Monday)
2 years RN experience preferred.
Education/Experience:
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas.
- Associate Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Experience in pediatric cardiology and cardiac catheterization preferred.
- Demonstrated skill in patient care, communication, and interpersonal relationships.
- Skilled in patient education.
- 6 months RN experience required.
- Physical and mental skills to carry out job responsibilities.
- Current State License RN.
- BLS Required.
- PALS certified (if not current, must obtain within one year of employment).
- ACLS certified (if not current, must obtain within one year of employment).
