The Director of Nursing & Patient Care holds executive-level accountability for the integrated clinical and administrative management of the Perioperative Division within the facility. This executive nursing leader is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of Perioperative Services, partnering with physicians, nursing leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality care for every patient who enters our surgical environment.
As Cook Children's continues to expand its surgical capabilities and presence in the community, this leader will play a pivotal role in establishing and developing the infrastructure, talent, and operational excellence needed to support growth ahead of demand. From the tiniest neonatal patients to growing children and adolescents, your leadership will help shape extraordinary surgical experiences and outcomes while positioning Cook Children's Prosper as a recognized leader in pediatric surgery across the region.
Success in this role requires building strong, trusted relationships with surgeons and physician partners, proactively understanding their needs, and creating an environment that supports clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and physician satisfaction. Education/Experience:
5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience required.
OR experience required.
BSN required.
Master's Degree is required.
Certification/Licensure:
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS (American Heart).
