Description
AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking qualified Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) to provide behavioral health and psychosocial support services at William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) in Fort Bliss, Texas. The LCSW will assess patient needs, provide counseling, and coordinate care with medical teams and community resources.
This role focuses on helping patients manage emotional, social, and environmental challenges that impact their health and well-being. The LCSW works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team and supports both individual patients and their families.
General Duties:
Clinical Privileges: Perform duties within the scope authorized by the MTF Director.
Contract Compliance: Execute all responsibilities in accordance with the PWS and contract requirements.
Specific Duties:
Conduct psychosocial assessments to evaluate patient needs and challenges.
Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans.
Provide counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups.
Coordinate referrals to community resources and government support services.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, etc.) for patient care planning.
Assist patients in coping with medical conditions, trauma, and life stressors.
Educate patients and families on available services and coping strategies.
Participate in case conferences, peer reviews, and quality improvement activities.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with DoD and facility policies.
Support discharge planning and continuity of care.
Qualifications:
Degree: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
Education: Graduate from a CSWE-accredited School of Social Work
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) (as applicable)
Experience:
Clinical practicum during MSW or
Minimum 2 years of clinical social work experience within the last 3 years
Licensure:
Current, full, active, and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license
Citizenship: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong counseling and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to assess psychosocial needs and develop care plans
Knowledge of mental health conditions and treatment approaches
Familiarity with community resources and referral processes
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
Strong documentation and organizational skills
