36 hour/week position. One 12-hour shift per week and three 8-hour shifts. Supervisors work 12-hour shifts every other weekend and eight hours during the weekUnder the direction of the Administrative
Director Inpatient Care and within established organizational and
departmental policies and procedures, functions as the coordinator of patient
care and representative of Nursing Administration for a designated shift.
Coordinates Hospital services in collaboration with the Administrator-on-Call.
Utilizes knowledge of patients age and cultural diversity into the provision
of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through
performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in
patient care.BSN strongly preferred; in the
absence of a bachelors degree, an associates degree coupled with a
minimum of three to five years experience working as a Staff RN with
leadership abilities demonstrated by working successfully as a Charge RN
or in another leadership capacity required.Current license to practice
nursing in Massachusetts. Current CPR certification
required. CPI certification required within
60 days of hire or transfer into position.ACLS certification required within
six months of hire or transfer into position. Demonstrated excellent clinical,
leadership, organizational and oral and written communication skills
required.
