Diagnostic Imaging Summary\nResponsible for providing quality patient care while producing diagnostic and\ntherapeutic procedures safely while operating the MRI equipment in order to\nobtain diagnostic scans.\n\nDoes this position require Patient Care?\nYes\n\nEssential Functions\n-Scan patients properly, using correct selection of technical factors, fully\nunderstanding the physics of nuclear medicine in order to operate the equipment\nat its most optimal settings for quality procedures. \n\n-Prepares patients for procedures which may include transporting, transferring,\nimmobilizing, and position patients. \n\n-Explains procedures to patients taking into consideration physical and\nemotional needs. \n\n-Records images as directed for radiologist interpretation. \n\n-Maintains pertinent records. \n\n-Maintain required documentation regarding radioactive materials, both upon\nreceipt and prior to administration. Education\nAssociate's Degree Diagnostic Imaging required\n\nCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?\nYes\n\nLicenses and Credentials\nCertified Nuclear Medicine Technologist [CNMT/ARRT-N Certification] - Generic -\nHR Only preferred Radiologic Technologist and Technician [Nuclear Medicine -\nState License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Radiologic Technologist and\nTechnician [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Basic Life Support\n[BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Radiologic\nTechnologist and Technician [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred\n\nExperience\nMRI Tech experience with multiple patient populations 1-2 years required\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\n- Good communication skills. \n- Ability to effectively evaluate and problem solve. \n- Ability to work independently. \n- Ability to guide, teach, and motivate others. \n- Good business acumen skills.
