Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care, support diagnostic processes, and respond promptly to emergent cardiopulmonary situations within our facility. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to impact patient outcomes through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and adherence to best practices.

Requirements: 

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Current RT license and registration
  • 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in an acute care or critical care hospital setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential preferred if applicable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer respiratory treatments and therapeutic interventions precisely as prescribed by physicians.
  • Perform diagnostic tests on the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Deliver life-support services and respond effectively to emergency cardiopulmonary needs within the facility to ensure patient safety.
  • Document assessments, treatments, patient responses, and procedures accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR), following facility policies and industry standards.
  • Maintain respiratory equipment, supplies, and workstations in strict accordance with safety, infection-control, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate actively in departmental Performance Improvement and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Adhere to all facility protocols, policies, and procedures, including security and access controls, ensuring compliance and patient confidentiality.

Work Schedule:

  • Shift: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
