Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care, support diagnostic processes, and respond promptly to emergent cardiopulmonary situations within our facility. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to impact patient outcomes through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and adherence to best practices.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Current RT license and registration
- 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in an acute care or critical care hospital setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential preferred if applicable
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapeutic interventions precisely as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform diagnostic tests on the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Deliver life-support services and respond effectively to emergency cardiopulmonary needs within the facility to ensure patient safety.
- Document assessments, treatments, patient responses, and procedures accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR), following facility policies and industry standards.
- Maintain respiratory equipment, supplies, and workstations in strict accordance with safety, infection-control, and regulatory standards.
- Participate actively in departmental Performance Improvement and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
- Collaborate seamlessly with nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to all facility protocols, policies, and procedures, including security and access controls, ensuring compliance and patient confidentiality.
Work Schedule:
- Shift: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
