- Salary Range: $75,000–$95,000
- Full-Time | On-Call Overnights & Weekends | 7 Days On / 7 Days Off

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice is seeking an experienced and compassionate On-Call Registered Nurse to support our Topeka hospice team. This role is essential to delivering timely, skilled, and meaningful end-of-life care in patients’ homes—exactly when they and their families need it most. If you thrive in autonomous nursing, value connection, and want your work to truly matter, this position stands out.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to the immediate care needs of hospice patients and families during nights and weekends
- Complete routine and as-needed visits in home settings across the Topeka region
- Triage urgent situations and collaborate with hospice physicians to provide comfort and symptom management
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary hospice team, community partners, and family caregivers
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold all regulatory and agency standards
- Deliver professional, compassionate, patient-centered hospice care
- Participate in ongoing training, education, and quality initiatives
What You Bring
- Kansas RN License or Compact License
- Hospice nursing experience preferred (Topeka hospice experience is a plus)
- Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently in home settings
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- High-level organization, time management, and emotional resilience
