Assignment Overview

Seeking a dedicated RN for the MedSurg/Tele unit to provide care for patients with acute and chronic conditions, post-op surgeries, and common med-surg population co-morbidities such as diabetes and hypertension. Ideal candidates will have strong clinical assessment skills and be comfortable in a 24-bed unit with a census of 24 patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessments and provide med-surg nursing care
• Manage tracheostomy, chest tubes, PIV starts, insulin and heparin drips
• Conduct cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
• Plan discharges and educate patients

Qualifications

Required:

• Active RN License (GA)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm)
• 2 years Med/Tele experience

Preferred:

• ACLS certification
• National Medical-surgical certification
