Respiratory Therapist, CRT | General Floors |
Assignment Overview
We are seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a general floor setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large critical care facility and possess strong skills in respiratory therapy, including treatment of various patient types such as adults, pediatrics, and neonates. The role demands a committed professional who can thrive in an acute care environment.
Assignment Details
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 1830-0700
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday
- No call requirements
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2430 (negotiable)
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color scrubs; scrubs are not provided
- Charting System: EPIC
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to general medical, intermediate care, and ICU patients
- Operate and manage respiratory equipment such as Servo U, Servo i, LTV, Bipap, Cpap, and Fisher Paykel high flow systems
- Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists available 24/7
- Participate in department-specific orientation and training
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL license or confirmation of application
- Negative drug screen for all panels
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification via NBRC
- Experience in a large (300 bed or more) critical care facility
Preferred:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Not worked at any OSF facility in the past year
