Registered Nurse (RN) | Travel | MedSurg

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a MedSurg unit specializing in the care of patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, post-surgical needs, wound care, and cardiac issues. Ideal candidates will have experience with PEG tube care, CVC/PICC usage, tracheostomy care, and titrating drips. This role requires adaptability and the ability to float to ICU and Acute Rehab as needed.

Assignment Details

Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Illinois
Shift Details: 12-hour night shifts, 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekend and holiday rotation
Assignment Length: N/A
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2538 (negotiable)
Local Candidate Policy: Reduced rate applies to local candidates within 50 miles
Number of Openings: 1
Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in a MedSurg setting
Perform PEG tube care and feedings
Care for CVC, PICC, and Midline catheters
Manage tracheostomy patients
Titrate Heparin drips as needed
Collaborate with respiratory therapists for equipment management
Monitor telemetry readings

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL RN license or application in progress
BLS certification (AHA)
Experience in MedSurg and ability to float to ICU and Acute Rehab

Preferred:

ACLS certification
