Registered Nurse - Telemetry | Travel | Milwaukee, WI

Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Telemetry unit in a Med Surg setting. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of acute care experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing patients with conditions like CHF, AFib, and post-cath lab care. Candidates should be skilled in IV and ostomy care, as well as drip management.

Responsibilities

Provide care for patients with chest pain, CHF, AFib, among other conditions
Admit and discharge 2-3 patients daily
Manage patient drips, including heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone
Work collaboratively with unit support such as charge nurse, unit secretary, and hospitalist
Document pain levels and ensure appropriate pain management

Qualifications

Required:

BLS Certification
Experience with ostomy care, drains, and IV skills
Basic Med-Surg skills

Preferred:

Experience in observation units
Proficiency in admissions and discharges
