RN - Med Surg | Travel | Milwaukee, WI

Assignment Overview

Join a dynamic team as a Registered Nurse in a Med Surg and Telemetry unit. This role is ideal for RNs with an acute care background, providing care for patients with conditions such as chest pain, CHF, and AFib. The unit requires an adaptable nurse ready to handle a fast-paced environment.

Assignment Details

Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2322 (negotiable)
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Patient Ratios: Day - 1:4-5, Night - 1:6-8
Charting System: EPIC
Start Date: Based on availability
Floating to: MSUs, ED Holding at a 1:4 ratio
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
Schedule provided 2 weeks in advance of start
Holiday Expectations: 1 holiday per season (Christmas Eve/Day, NYE/New Year's Day)
Parking: Free in designated areas

Responsibilities

Manage patient care for those with chest pain, post cath lab, CHF, and more
Perform ostomy care and manage IVs and drips such as heparin and insulin
Complete admissions and discharges efficiently
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

Required:

BLS Certification
1-2 years in an acute care setting
Experience with ostomy care and IV skills

Preferred:

Experience in observation units
Proficiency in EPIC charting system
