RN (Registered Nurse) | Travel | MICU, IL
Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) assignment. This on-site role involves providing critical care in an acute setting. The ideal candidate should be skilled in interpreting EKG strips, managing arterial and central lines, and caring for ventilated patients. Experience with titrating vasopressors and vasoactive drugs is essential.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: Not provided
- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, 7:00-7:30 AM/PM
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirements: Depends on staffing needs
- Floating Requirements: Travelers float first
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: No specific colors required; sweatshirts not allowed
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2430 (negotiable)
- Charting System: EPIC
Responsibilities
- Interpret EKG strips and manage telemetry monitors
- Provide advanced care for ventilated patients
- Titrate vasoactive and cardioactive medications
- Collaborate with Intensivists and utilize telemedicine support
- Supervise and delegate tasks to patient care technicians
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL license or confirmation of application process initiation
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
- Experience in critical care settings
- Proficient with arterial and central lines, and ventilators
