Registered Nurse - PCU | Shelby, NC

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Shelby, NC. The ideal candidate will have at least 18 months of PCU RN experience and be comfortable working with a diverse range of patient diagnoses including CHF, Dysrhythmia, and Stroke.

Unit Beds: 32
Patient Ratios: RN: 1:4 most common, possibly 1:5 depending on acuity
Charting System: EPIC
Floating: Required within region and scope of practice
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
Holiday Expectations: Work 75% of holidays
Scrub Color: Navy
Parking: Free

Responsibilities

Provide patient care for individuals with conditions such as CHF, Dysrhythmia, Stroke, among others
Administer medications and manage central lines
Perform wound care and dressing changes
Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage tracheostomies

Qualifications

Required:

18 months of PCU RN experience
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
Experience with traches, cardiac gtts, and chest tubes
Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and wound care

PEL/VIP Job ID #64328939. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
