Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardio Thoracic | Travel | Illinois

Assignment Overview

This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardio Thoracic care within an acute setting. The RN will provide comprehensive care for patients with conditions such as MI, CHF, COPD, and post-lung surgery. The ideal candidate will have experience in EKG interpretation and medication titration, and possess strong nursing skills.

Assignment Details

Start Date: Not provided
Shift: 12-hour nights, 1900-0730
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Days: Saturday/Sunday, Nights: Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday
Holiday Rotation: Required
Floating: Required to float to other general medical units
Charting System: EPIC
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
Location: Illinois

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to Cardio Thoracic patients
Perform EKG interpretations and medication titration
Manage patients with pacemakers, AICDs, and chest tubes
Troubleshoot and interpret tele monitors
Administer and titrate drips such as Cardizem and heparin

Qualifications

Required:

Active IL RN license or initiation of application process
BLS certification
EKG interpretation skills
Experience with medication titration

Preferred:

ACLS certification
