Assignment Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) travel assignment. The role involves working in a high-acuity care setting, catering to medical ICU patients. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing complex cases, including respiratory and renal failure, sepsis, and hemodynamic instability. Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to medical ICU patients, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, and other complex conditions
• Manage ventilators, trachs, and chronic ventilator patients
• Administer and monitor vasoactive medications and invasive lines
• Assist with bedside procedures, including chest tube and tracheostomy management
• Collaborate with support staff, including CNAs and respiratory therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care

Qualifications

Required:

• NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years ICU RN experience
• Skills in trach care, chest tube management, and insulin/heparin drips
• Experience with management of invasive lines and vasoactive medications
• Proficient in managing patients on ventilator support

Preferred:

• CCRN (critical care nursing certification)
