Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg | Location: Not specified
Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Adult Medical Speciality Unit. The ideal candidate will excel in acute care settings and possess experience with central lines, tracheostomies, and chest tubes. Candidates with EPIC experience and background in Level I trauma centers are desirable.
Assignment Details
- Assignment Type: Unknown
- Shift Details: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Sat/Sun for days, Fri/Sat for nights)
- Floating Requirements: Rotation to other acute care general medicine areas (nephrology, neuro, ortho, oncology)
- Charting System: EPIC
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
- Number of Beds: 56 (private and semi-private)
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 (07-23:00), 1:5-6 (23-07:30)
- Charge Nurse: Free charge RN on each floor
- Patient Care Techs: Ratio 1:8-10, assist with vital signs, accucheks, bladder scans, and ADLs
- Required Certifications: BLS (AHA)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients
- Administer medications and monitor fluid levels
- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL license or proof of application
- Experience with central lines, tracheostomies, chest tubes
- BLS certification
Preferred:
- EPIC experience
- Experience in a Level I trauma center or MedSurg floor
